Who Says A Hillside Space Can’t Enhance Beauty?!?!
A primary request from these homeowners was to enhance the appearance of the slope in their back yard. For a beautiful and low maintenance slope-scape, we designed and installed several Mediterranean plant varietals including; Arbutus, ceanothus, salvia, and bougainvillea which were planted to bring a distinct color arrangement and excitement to the area while keeping water and maintenance requirements low. We then added drip irrigation and mulched the areas around the plantings with shredded fir bark, which helps to hold the soil in place on the slope, and smother out weeds. Teucrium and limonium plants were added to soften the look of a lower retaining wall. The Synthetic lawn and pathways around the house allow for barbecuing, outdoor relaxing, and kids play area. In front, more native plantings around a rock creek bed welcomes our customers and their guests home, and connects the front and back spaces with a natural flow. The addition of Landscape accent boulders and a colorful crepe myrtle tree add personalized touches that make the landscape as unique as the people inside.
